Margaret Wheatley

Margaret (Meg) Wheatley has worked out in the world since 1966, advising and consulting to nearly all varieties of organizations and leadership levels on all continents (except Antarctica). She is president and co-founder of The Berkana Institute (Berkana.org), a global non-profit that has supported leaders, especially in the Global South, as they experiment with how to create self-organizing and life-affirming initiatives, projects, and organizations. She has written ten books, from the classic Leadership and the New Science (1992) to Who Do We Choose To Be: Facing Reality, Claiming Leadership, Restoring Sanity (2017, 2023). Her most creative work (2020 with Jerry Granelli) is a mesmerizing listening experience, The Warrior’s Songline, a Journey into Warriorship Guided by Voice And Sound. Since 2015, she has been developing leaders and activists from 35 countries as Warriors for the Human Spirit. Meg has been a dedicated Tibetan Buddhist practitioner for decades, trained to work with the richness of energies, deities, and dynamics of space. Since 2018, she has been a devoted disciple to an Indian yogi who regularly uses alchemy in astonishing ways - which she has directly witnessed.
